DIMENSIONS & FEATURES
Natural Paua Abalone Shells. Each shell is roundly-shaped and measures 8mm. The colors and patterns will vary slightly due to the nature of natural shells.
These stud earrings lay perfectly flat against your ear.
The pin length of the stud is 12mm.
THE PROCESSThese abalone stud earrings are started off with stainless steel earring posts. Through electricity, copper metal builds up around the shells creating an organic yet modern finish. Lastly, the copper is clear coated to help preserve the shiny color. Over time, the coating will wear off but you can replenish with a coating such as nail polish or jewelry wax.
Electroforming is a dedicated process by which copper metal from one piece of copper is transferred through electric current to the jewelry resulting in unique, naturally organic creations. Each piece is clear coated for a final touch. Simply put ~ each one is made with lots & lots of love.
PACKAGING
Each piece is mailed in eco-friendly packaging. Some pieces will be in cardboard boxes and others in muslin bags. Business cards and boxes are made using recycled material.
