DIMENSIONS & FEATURES
Choose between an 18" or 20" chain. Each pinecone is on a solid sterling silver chain with soldered links and a spring-ring clasp. The pinecones measure approximately between 25mm and 33mm long and 10mm and 12mm wide.
Each real pinecone remains under the silver ~ preserved for life.
This necklace is lightweight and comfortable to wear all day.
This necklace is lead-free and nickel-free.
THE PROCESS
Each pinecone is handpicked. Due to the nature of pinecones, please allow for some differences between the necklace you see in the photos & the necklace you receive. Some pinecones will be mostly closed and some will be slightly open ~ all are beautiful & organic. Next, the piece is put through electricity for a very long time so copper naturally forms around the entire pinecone creating a sturdy piece. This process takes many hours & careful supervision. Once the pinecone has reached perfection, it is polished to a beautiful shine and then thickly plated in fine silver. The finishing touch is a soldered sterling silver chain and spring-ring clasp.
Electroforming is a dedicated process by which copper metal from one piece of copper is transferred through electric current to the jewelry resulting in unique, naturally organic creations. Simply put ~ each one is made with lots & lots of love.
PACKAGING
Each piece is mailed in eco-friendly packaging. Some pieces will be in cardboard boxes and others in muslin bags. Business cards and boxes are made using recycled material.
