Each ruby comes on a delicate looking, but strong, soldered solid sterling silver chain.
The pendant measures approximately 0.75" - 1.25" long. Each piece of Ruby carries natural beauty that can't be replicated from stone to stone. These Ruby pieces will range slightly in color but they're a subtle mix of reds, purples, and pinks and come in various geometric shapes. Some even have small black inclusions.
This necklace is lead-free. If you have a nickel allergy, please contact me prior to purchase.
THE PROCESS
A beautiful piece of natural Ruby is put through electricity so copper naturally forms around the edges of the gem, hugging the gem. This process takes many hours & careful supervision. Once each piece has reached perfection, it is polished to a beautiful shine and then plated as thickly as possible with non-tarnishing rhodium silver. Expect some slight differences between the photos and the necklace you will receive as each will carry natural beauty that can't be replicated.
Electroforming is a dedicated process by which metal is transferred through electric current to the jewelry over a long period of time resulting in unique, naturally organic creations. Many steps go into this process often taking a minimum of one week up to several weeks. Simply put ~ each one is made with lots & lots of love.
These necklaces are made to last. If you ever need your pendant re-plated in the future, please message me & I will be happy to do that affordably for you.
PACKAGING
Each piece is mailed in eco-friendly packaging. Some pieces will be in cardboard boxes and others in muslin bags. Business cards and boxes are made using recycled material.
GIFT GIVING
Save yourself time & postage by having the gift shipped directly to the recipient. Simply put the recipient's address as the mailing address when you go to check out.
